Integration
Slack assistant for manager coaching follow-through
EvalSuite can bring manager coaching context into Slack with briefs, App Home surfaces, and assistant actions where the workspace has the required scopes.
Current status
Shipped with Slack install/reconnect, App Home, commands, weekly manager brief delivery, and direct-message caveats when scopes are missing.
- Works today: Slack install and reconnect
- Works today: Slack App Home coaching queue
- Works today: Weekly manager brief DM where direct-message scope is installed
- Limitation: Slack DMs require the Slack app im:write bot scope
- Limitation: Email fallback remains available when Slack DM scope is missing
- Alternative today: Email weekly manager brief
- Alternative today: Dashboard coaching inbox
- Alternative today: In-app action items
Workflow it supports
Slack is useful when managers need a lightweight return path into EvalSuite. It should carry the coaching queue, not replace the product record.
Current status
Slack behavior is shipped, with a real scope caveat: direct messages require the Slack app direct-message bot scope or the product falls back to email.
Supported alternatives today
Managers can always use the dashboard and email brief even when Slack is not connected or needs a reconnect.
Workflow example
A manager receives a weekly Slack brief, opens the App Home queue, and jumps into the EvalSuite surface that needs follow-through.
Example output
The visible output should be concrete enough to inspect.
- Manager brief in Slack when scope allows
- App Home coaching queue
- Deep link back to EvalSuite
- Reconnect prompt when DM scope is missing
